Sketch the song before the session turns into production
Map chords, sections, tempo, and lyrics in one browser view. Hear a quick accompaniment while the form is still flexible, then save the sketch and come back when the next line appears.
No DAW setup. No account. Local saved songs in the beta.
Playback gives enough context to judge motion, tension, and lift while writing.
Store words, section cues, arrangement notes, and open questions with the song.
Name a sketch and return later without setting up a project file.
Composer workflow
A fast middle step between voice memo and arrangement
Voice memos capture the spark. DAWs are great once the production is clear. Fiume Comp sits between them: enough structure to hear the song, little friction to keep writing.
Block out the progression
Set the number of bars, type chords, and adjust sections as the form changes.
Test section energy
Change style, tempo, and mixer balance to hear whether the chorus lifts or the bridge needs another color.
Write while listening
Use the Lyrics panel for lines, rhyme candidates, arrangement notes, and reminders for the next session.
FAQ
Songwriting sketchpad questions
Can I start from a blank canvas?
Yes. Choose New Song for an empty 16-bar sketch, then change the bar count if you want a shorter or longer form.
Does it generate lyrics?
No. The Lyrics panel is for your own words, cues, and notes. Fiume does not write lyrics for you.
Can I save multiple songs?
Yes. Saved songs appear in the Song dropdown alongside Sample Song and New Song.
Can I export audio?
Not in this beta. The focus is fast browser playback for sketching, practice, and composition decisions.
